Soon the morning came, and Vael started to break up camp. He disassembled the lean-to's he and Carst slept in, which elicited a series of groans from the sleeping prince. He packed up the remainder of the boar meat, which had been strung up in a tree branch to keep animals from getting into it. Then he put out the fire and removed all traces of it to prevent a trail from being followed.
